REFLECTION

Experience

To be honest, I wasn't looking forward for typography class when the semester started. I have no knowledge of typography and completely clueless. From the very start my goal is to learn typography from the very basic and to improved. I believe I manage to do that even when I may not be as good as other student, I believe I do improved my work compared from the start of the semester. Compare of my other modules, I think typography gives me most knowledge. I also notice having a book to read as reference or idea is really helping with my exercises and project.

Observation

I notice that I become more critical with my artwork, not only on my typography class but also another classes. Because I have no experience in typography, I become more stressed than my other classes and I put extra hours to think and to finalize my works. I notice that Mr Vinod gives feedback very quickly in class and very honest with our artworks which I like. His feedback are really helpful, I can learn from his feedback how I should see my artwork and how I should improved them. The only hesitant I had is to ask feedback through text. I never done that before and I don't want to be rude and ask in late hours. That's why I mostly ask in class or try to find my lecturer in the office for feedback. I shouldn't be hesitate to ask to begin with and I tried to change that in the future.

Finding

I learn a lot in this class and I do believe I have so much to improved. I notice that there's time when I forgot to put my feedback on the feedback sheets because I was busy with my assignments. I find the best solution is to type my feedback right away, it really helps when I need to put my feedback on my blog. I find that having a book as reference is really helpful to get an idea.

For my e portfolio find that editing them bit by bit is the best best way to do it because when it got pilled up, I become too lazy to update. One thing that I see really helpful is my other lecturer update our score of our blog every few weeks so we know what we can improved in our blog in the next exercise. In typography we don't do that and sometimes it confused me what I lack of in my blog.
